A foundation rooted in authentic scholarship
Established in 1998, Rahmat-e-Alam Foundation is a State of Illinois Registered 501(c)(3) Nonprofit Organization operating under the guidance of the eminent Islamic jurist Hazrat Shah Mufti Mohammed Navalur Rahman Sahib DB. The Foundation is dedicated to serving the religious, educational, and social needs of the Muslim community through authentic Islamic guidance, education, family counseling, Halal certification, and community services.
Its mission is carried forward through three major divisions: Shariah Board of America, Darululoom Chicago, and Guidance Educational Academy, working together to strengthen faith, promote knowledge, and serve the Muslim community across North America.

Religious Guidance
Shariah Board of America
At the heart of our mission to provide accurate, reliable, and comprehensive Islamic legal guidance. This division offers various services including:
Darul-Ifta - Providing reliable Fatawas through the website, email, phone, and in-person consultations, with more than 26,000 Fatawas published.
Darul-Qadha - OResolving domestic and business disputes through comprehensive counseling guided by the Quran, Sunnah, and Shariah.
Halal Monitoring Services (HMS) - Monitoring and certifying end-to-end Zabiha Halal meat at slaughterhouses, processing facilities, retailers, and restaurants at no cost.
Moon Sighting - Providing monthly moon-sighting announcements for Islamic dates in coordination with scholars across 23 U.S. states while adhering to Shariah and Sunnah principles.
Islamic Education & Community Programs - Strengthening Islamic knowledge through Dars-e-Quran, Dars-e-Hadith, youth programs, and regular educational and community events.
These services provide dependable Islamic guidance, promote religious awareness, and help the Muslim community navigate spiritual, personal, family, and social matters according to the Quran and Sunnah.

Darul Uloom Chicago
An essential branch focused on the dissemination and preservation of Islamic knowledge, providing an array of educational programs, including:
Alim Courses - Full-time religious studies aimed at producing scholars and experts in Islamic law and theology.
Hifz Program - Dedicated to the memorization of the Quran.
Essentials of Deen & STEM Program - An innovative curriculum that integrates religious education with modern scientific learning.
Educational Programs - Producing resources and organizing seminars, workshops and courses for youth and adults to strengthen Islamic knowledge.
These programs nurture both the intellectual and spiritual growth of students, preparing them to contribute meaningfully to society while remaining firmly grounded in Islamic values.
